Julie McBride, owner of YOUR PHONE FRIENDS Inc. needed a Confidential and Affordable Listening Service, available 24/7 and easy to use. Salyris Studios advised her to use a Call Center and a 1-800 number (which is 1-877-YPF-4YOU) along with a Joomla website. With a limited budget Salyris Studios used an existing Joomla template from JoomlaArt called Ja Bellatrix and made some small modifications she requested.

Salyris Studios also created the logo for her along with the special graphics and Flash animations based on her specifications. The website is connected to the Call Center and LinkPoint Central secure server for credit card transactions so the website itself wouldn't need to be SSL secure.

Salyris Studios used Community Builder along with JACLPLUS to keep the Listeners and Guests (Callers) private from each other so that they could not see each others profiles. JACPLUS also allowed Salyris Studios to integrate the Call Center Representatives (CCRs) so that they could register someone if they needed assistance, edit orders, or search for Guests in the database to quickly create an order. Training was also given to the CCRs so that each call could be handled with speed and professionalism. There are many other Joomla extensions Salyris Studios used, but there was a lot of original PHP/MySQL code written for this particular project beyond what the extensions could provide Salyris Studios with. Joomla helped us keep the pricing of this project lower than if it was built from scratch, so this is a good example of leveraging Joomla! and choosing the right extensions to get the desired results.
