Wickertsheim states that Joomla! â which recently won the award "Best Linux / Open Source Project" for 2005 at LinuxWorld Expo in London - offers a lot of advantages. "One fundamental aspect surely is the IT cost reduction but also the unlimited possibilities of customization. Because of the modular construction system Joomla! is very adaptable and expandable. Nearly every day more extensions are released." Every two month Joomla! magazin shall contain
important topics: helpful tips and tricks, ongoing and well-founded
background information and fieldreports all about Joomla!. The
editorial office aims at "creating a cabable and uselful magazine full
of interesting facts for German-speaking developers and especially
users of Joomla!". Every issue shall offer news and the possibility to
consult previous issues. The main focus will be on current developments
in association with Joomla!. "Furthermore the issues will introduce
Joomla! extensions, report practical experience and publish interviews
with Joomla!-specialists", states the proclamation of the publishing
company. For query: Barbara Tank, Thorsten Wickertsheim Editorship of Joomla! magazin Publishing company: Coptimus Verlag GmbH Phone: +49 89 189549-41 Fax: +49 89 189549-48 E-Mail: thorsten.wickertsheim 'at' joomlamagazin.de www.joomlamagazin.de |
In November 2005 a new magazine especially created for developers and
users of the Content Management System Joomla! will be released by the
publishing company Coptimus in Munich, Germany. Joomla! magazin
perceives itself as the answer to the trend of Content Management
Systems publishing via internet â which has already started with
"Mambo" and now continues with "Joomla!". "Open Source Projects gain
steadily in importance, not only in non-profit organizations but also
in every day life of public authorities and companies", says Thorsten
Wickertsheim, chief editor of the new periodical.
