JoomlatWork Team Joins the OpenSEF Project Richard and John of the JoomlatWork project have joined the OpenSEF project team bringing with them years of programming experience and fresh ideas. Richard has more than 5 years experience with PHP and over 20 years of programming experience (C++, etc.). For the last 6 years Richard has done search engine implementations for the corporate intranet of a large worldwide company.

He started working with Mambo three years ago and created the SEF patches for some of his clients. When significant changes were not made to improve SEO/SEF when the Joomla project was formed, Richard decided to release his SEF patches to the Joomla community - the popular Joomla SEF Patch is the result.

John is also a very experienced programmer with more than 16 years of experience. Originally a Java developer, he has focused on PHP for the past 2 years. John's experience with internet development goes back to the early years of the internet, 1993/1994. Since then he has been involved with various e-commerce and infrastructure projects. Using his Java Eclipse experience, John has created the JoomlatWork PHP Development Studio. This free and open source development environment provides everything needed to develop applications using PHP and is ideal for Joomla developers.

Richard and John formed the JoomlatWork project at the beginning of this year to provide support for Joomla clients and to create quality Joomla commercial components.

OpenSEF Lead Developer Marko Schmuck and Project Adminstrator Ken McDonald are both thrilled to have Richard and John join the OpenSEF project team. Good things have already started happening behind the scenes and OpenSEF users may expect significant improvements to OpenSEF as the result of this collaboration.
