Netshine Software Limited would like to let you know about a new commercial component for Joomla, which will provide an end-to-end order management, customer invoicing, and bookkeeping component for Joomla: Netshine Billing.

The component is nearing completion, and is already undergoing in-house testing.  A Beta release will be published free of charge, probably at some point in June.

Features will include:

  • Custom order forms for your products or services, allowing online ordering through your website front-end
  • Unlimited nested categories for your products
  • Multi-company support
  • Multi-currency support
  • Nominal Ledger support
  • Template-based invoice production
  • Printer-friendly HTML invoice previews
  • PDF Output for printing multiple invoices on separate pages
  • Full VAT support, including different tax zones (eg. for EU, International, or various domestic tax rates)
  • Users can log-in to your website's front end and access their own invoices/orders
  • Auto-invoice generation for subscription-based services
  • Ability to manually alter or override invoice descriptions, amounts, dates, etc.
  • Decent documentation!

Additional features that are planned for future versions include payment gateway integration, virtuemart integration, newsletter/mailshot features, and a helpdesk ticketing system.

It is intended to enable you to handle all of your bookkeeping easily, with everything you need to hand over to your accountant at the end of the year.  The focus during development has been on keeping it simple, not crammed with complicated features (like modernbill), so it shouldn't take long to learn how to use it.

When stable, the component will be made available optionally on an annual license fee basis, or as a one-off outright purchase (price not yet decided, but I'm keen to keep it as low as I can - it certainly won't be astronomical like modernbill!), and all Beta testers will receive a free license for 1 year.  If you would like to be involved in beta testing, please drop me a line ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Suggestions or wishlists also welcome!
