This new version of mod_sectionnav , a module for creating a navigation menu for Joomla, enables you to exclude certain keys for the use as access keys. The current menu item is still enclosed in anchor tags but has no more href attribute to avoid linking a content item to itself. Additionally the current anchor now has an id attribute with the value active_menu to allow for a different look using CSS to show the user where he currently is located on your site.

Instead of assigning the CSS property for access keys in the back end the formatting of the keys can now be controlled in your site's template CSS file by adding rules for the class accesskey.
