CAT exams are the ticket to studies at premier management institutes in India (read that as the ticket to the plummest jobs in the country). But, the CAT entrance tests are tough. What’s more conventional classroom training methods for it, expensive, to say the least.

Its approach was to make preparation for CAT easy, affordable and location/ time independent, through online learning systems and strong communities.

Pigtail Pundits Web Solutions - one of India's leading interactive communications agencies, was asked was to develop an E-learning community portal that would enable students preparing for CAT to avail of various online courses.

Working closely with the visionaries at SolidGyan, the team at Pigatil Pundits developed a portal and community where CAT students could gather, read articles and news feeds of interest, browse through a directory of business schools with ratings, discuss problems and solutions with one another, and of course, buy specific courses.

The SolidGyan community portal is built entirely using Open Source tools. It features Joomla! Content Management System, Business Directory, VirtueMart Store, and Simple Machines Forum.
